LRMHC Winter Classic Preview

And with the new year the LRMHC Winter Classic is upon us. This wonderful event was planned to have taken place in Commissioner Feiler's backyard, but due to unforseen weather constraints, infrastructure problems, and the fact that no one wants to play on the concrete outside, this Tournament will be like all those before it, being played inside the Living Room. The fourth of six planned tournaments, this one will be played without head referee Don Applegate in attendance, as he will be upstate in Binghamton getting his cast removed.

As far as previews go, look for the usual names of Feiler, King and McCann near the top of the standings. It still remains to be seen if Sean "Ginger" Doherty can repeat his performance in the Holiday Extravaganza, or if Ryan McKenna can rebound from his dismal 1-6 record in his rookie campaign, where he had more fighting majors than wins, to no one's surprise. Possible newcomers include Zach Nastro, Ryan Fitzgerald, and Christian Hart, but their play depends on if they remember to show up.

Awards and rankings to follow after the conclusion of the Winter Classic, as we at the LRMHC prepare for the home stretch of this season.
