So at the Winter Classic, Post-Black Friday Champion and podium mainstay Bryan Feiler found himself at the top of the heap once more, claiming the very important 3 power points which are awarded to the winner. Ryan King came in 2nd place, and Sean "My name isn't spelled Doherty" Dougherty grabbed the bronze. Jon Zella won the Rookie of the Tournament award.
In addition to the usual LRMHC debauchery, the Winter Classic featured the very first outdoor match, between Bryan Feiler and Jon Zella. Feiler won that contest, 3-2, and all of the spectators agreed that it was a rousing success. The only changes people could think of for next year's event would be a mandate on cleaning the soles of your shoes upon re-entry to the Feiler household, as someone (I'm not naming names) tracked in some foul-smelling items.
There were quite a few scuffles in the Winter Classic too, as tournament newcomer Zach Nastro tried to make a name for himself with his fists, as he found himself unable to do it with his mini-stick. A variety of donnybrooks with Ryan McKenna, Tim McCann, and other assorted Irishmen brought plenty of excitement, but may jeopardize the LRMHC's attempts to be seen as a family-oriented game. More on that, hopefully with a response from the league soon.
Here are the standings:
